First Month

John is one month old!!!!
We have survived the first month and it has been an experience with waking up about 3-4 times a night, bath time, a million diapers a day it seems, and watching our little man grow.
Some highlights:
He began to smile the goofy little first smile, which is with his mouth wide open. It is so cute. I do believe he is going to be a grunting little boy, he is holding his head up really well for being a month old, and his daddy has been working with him on walking, which while we are holding him, he will put weight on his legs, then moves his feet one at a time as if he was walking.
At his one month check-up he weighed 10lbs and 5 ounces but only grew a half of an inch. So he is growing fast and we are trying to capture all the stages of his life so we can remember how little he once was.
John took is first trip home to Owasso and he even went to Arkansas to meet his new cousin Katy. Traveling with a less than one month old was quite an experience but worth it so everyone could see how much John has grown since his birth. We took John to get his almost 1 month pictures done at JcPenny in Owasso, which was fun and he seemed to enjoy it as well until they wanted to put him on his belly, he really didn't like it. I can't wait to get the pictures from my mother-in-law because all the pictures were SO cute!! I do believe we have photogenic baby.John met all his cousins on my side of the family which was the cutest thing ever, all Marks kids stood around the coffeetable and were in aww of the new little baby. Then Aidan said "I want a baby in my belly." So Mark had to explain that girls are the only ones who have babies boys can't have them. Kayla held him and let me tell you she is a pro at holding babies, everytime John's head would shift she would move her arm to adjust his head. Then my brother decided to slam his finger his front door, so he had to go to urgent care and get it taken care of. So I got to experience life of being a mom with 5 kids under the age of 4 and I loved every minute of it!! I know I am crazy but they are all at a point in life where everything is an experience. So then after Mark and Andrew were done we helped Mark get the kids ready for bath and bed, then we drove home to Weatherford. Then we relaxed with our little man!!
John is such a blessing and were are loving everyday we get to see him experience something new like his goofy little smile, rolling to his belly from his side, having belly time which he enjoys now, bath time, and everything else he has done in the last month.
Here are some of the latest pictures of John.
So enjoy!!!Spending time with Grandpa MortonMy boys are the greatest!!Bath time wasn't his favorite thingHis little goofy smileThe Hatch Men!!
