Trunk or Treat

So John spent much of the week of Halloween celebrating the holiday.

First, we went to his schools Trunk or Treat on the Wednesday before Halloween. With the Methodist chuch they celebrate O' Halloweve on the Wednesday before the holiday.

John all ready to get some candy! He practiced saying "Trick or Treat" and "Thank you" all day but lets just say maybe next year he will actually say the words to the ones handing out the candy.
He is a serious, trick or treater with one mission the get suckers! No my child doesn't like chocolate but give him a sucker and you are his best friend (I think that is because he wasn't allowed many treats before he turned 2 and still he isnt allowed very many sweets).

As you can see our little "Woody" isn't in his full costume because he is two and has his own agenda...but he is still one cute cowboy!

Trunk or Treat was a success with many suckers!

I am so very thankful for a nursery school that instills good manners, the Lord's word, prayer, and love for every child. It is also wonderful that there are safe alternatives for little children to get candy for Halloween.
