19 Months Old

Holy cow, Monkey, you're 19 months old!!!!
I can't believe how much you have changed within the last month. It is really crazy how fast you are changing and evolving into a true toddler!
This month has been a super exciting month just in milestones for you. So where should mommy begin? Oh yes with your growth!
Growth: You are weighing in at about 25 pounds, which is amazing to us that you are finally gaining weight after your heart cath. I think that you are about 34 inches long. You are still a little guy but daddy and mommy aren't big at all. Your head is still huge, no exact measurements but your tops are still being bought a size up, which makes for huge tops but less discomfort while getting you dresses.
You are currently wearing 12-18 and 18-24 month tops depending on the brand and head hole. Your bottoms are 12-18 month, you have the tiniest bottom but a huge belly which makes for an interesting combination while dressing you. You are still short legged and have a long torso, just like mommy and daddy. This is another reason why you wear larger tops.
Mommy is just super happy that you are finally gaining weight!

Sleeping: Well since starting at the Schoolhouse you get one nap a day which is about 2-3 hours in length. Sometimes you come and hangout with mommy while she is with her kids during rest hours but most of the time you are ready for you nap. At night you are sleeping from about 8:30pm to almost 6:00am but occasionally you wake up about 1:30 and quickly fall back to sleep. I must say you are finally figuring this sleep business out and I am not complaining about the last 18 months at all, it really gave us some quality time!

Eating: I think that you are in the middle of a growth spurt because all you do is EAT currently and of course it is all healthy for your growing mind and body. Your daily schedule is as follows: nurse, breakfast at home, breakfast at school, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, get home nurse, dinner, evening snack, nurse. So you eat two breakfasts in the morning and that is after you eat two bowls of cereal at home. Yes TWO! You are venturing out when it comes to your food choices but you have your favorites like grilled cheese, mini animal crackers, goldfish, honeydew melon, oranges, tomatoes, grapes, carrots, nectarines, mac and cheese, spaghetti, cheese, and that is enough to get the point.

Drinking: You are finally drinking juice a lot and you have your favorite which is Apple and Eve Punch! It is 100% juice and organic! You still nurse when you get up in the morning, before we leave for the Schoolhouse, sometimes on my break, it is the first thing we do when we get home, and it is how you fall asleep at night. Many wonder why I am still nursing you and they give me weird looks along with their discouraging comments but I now respond with, "This is my choice not yours."

Since you have started "school" we have tons of art projects but you love to color. Unlike kiddos your age you actually hold a crayon just like an adult which is a major milestone. Your are learning bad habits from one of your new friends so we are working on it. I love that you are so loved by everyone at Ora Belinda and that your personality is finally showing at school.

Each day it seems like you are doing something new and saying a new word but my favorite is when you say, "garage" and "outside" You have a huge vocab and are learning your colors!
I hope that you keep your sweet personality as you grow and change!
We love you more and more each and everyday!
