A New Adventure

Since about 10 months John has been feeding himself solid objects like peas, carrots, puffs, and anything else small and edible. He has just lately shown a real interest in dipping his spoon into his food, even though he is eating "big kid" food, we are still giving him some baby food. The main reason he is getting baby food still is that he really isn't too interested in food all the time so it helps us in making sure he is getting all the nutrients that his growing body needs.

For some reason the last week or so, John will squint his eyes or walk around with his eyes closed. It makes for some wonderful laughs as he is walking around trying to learn his surroundings with his eyes closed. Trust me he has not fallen yet.
He is such a ball of energy with the biggest personality ever! Watching him change is simply amazing but at times I wish that he would stay my little cuddle bug forever. Even though I know he must grow and become an amazing man just like his daddy!
We have a huge prayer request: Andrew is currently getting ready for his first official job interview. He will be driving down to Dayton, TX which is about an hour outside of Houston but this job is for a percussion specialist. As much as I don't want to move further away from our families, it would be a wonderful adventure and proving more and more that we have to be one of the most self sufficient kids in both of our families! He has been applying everywhere just to see what happens and Texas is looking better and better to me!! Another place in Texas he is applying to is in Lewisville which is north of Dallas this is also another percussion specialist with an added bonus of being close to two of my favorite people in the world Andy's brother Robert and his wife Alicia!! Either of those would be great but the unknown is scary too, we believe that God will place us where we need to be in order to serve Him the best!! So please pray as we begin our newest chapter in life!
It seems like we are always going on new adventures lately but just the other day John gathered all his monkey powers and pushed through his baby gate separating the living room and the rest of the house. So I guess we are going to baby proof the rest of the house so he can go on new adventures!!
