Speaking in terms of sweet little baby teeth!
John really had not one problem with his first 8 teeth but these next four are causing him some problems. I guess it is so since they are his largest teeth yet...his eye teeth.
Cue the dramatic music.
It seems that his poor little gums just keep swelling and then the next day the swelling is gone for about a week. We have been looking in his mouth waiting for the teeth to make their grand appearance.
Teeth really are not his friend currently.
They are totally messing up his nighttime sleep because his poor mouth hurts which causes pressure in his ears, around his nasal cavity, and his tummy since all he wants to do is nurse.
Teething tablets are the most amazing thing ever but last night we had to give him some Generic Tylenol since all the recalls of the real stuff.
He was out like a light within an hour of taking some pain reliever and slept until 6 AM, which is normally his wake up time for a snack then he is back to sleep until 7 something.
We really wish that we could have all the pain from him cutting teeth since we would be able to handle it a whole lot better. I know that this is just another exciting adventure in his life but not the "good" exciting.
I guess until these bad boys break through, John and I will cuddle and eat ice.
He loves ice so much that yesterday he grabbed an ice cube that was fresh out of the freezer to suck on and the next thing we knew it had gotten stuck on his top lip. So sad but it didn't stop him from wanting another piece.
Maybe today is the magical day that we will see/feel his new teeth and all his pain can go away until his molars decide to make their appearance!
Now to get started with my day and I really wonder what today will hold.
