Fabulous Weekend

What an amazing weekend!!
On Friday night the biggest high school rivalry in western Oklahoma was played,
Clinton Tornadoes vs. Weatherford Eagles.
The game was a great game but the Eagles are a much bigger team this year than the Tornadoes, so I do believe the first time in 10 years the Eagles beat the Tornadoes. Andrew was at the game doing part of his student teaching but John and I watched he game from home to see if we could see daddy!
Then on Saturday morning at 5:40 am, we drove to Dallas to meet up with Robert and Alicia, then it was off to Canton which is about an hour in a half from where Robert and Alicia live. Once we arrived in town we met up with Bennet (Robert's friend) since he lives in Canton, small world... The reason for driving to Canton was to go to the largest flea market, arts and crafts festival, and dog alley, which is better known as First Monday. Every first weekend of the month this takes place and it is huge we didn't even get to see even half of it plus it was too hot, next time we will go back when it is cooler :).
Robert was able to get 2 tickets to the BYU vs. OU game at the new Cowboys stadium, so he and Andrew went on Saturday.
Andrew hanging out in the luxury suite, his one chance in a lifetime for this, and let me tell you he enjoyed himself. Plus BYU beat OU which was totally awesome since OU was said to win by like 21 points...never underestimate the underdog. Hopefully the injured OU players will make a full recovery!
On Sunday we went back to First Monday to walk around a little more. I was also able to hangout with some of my little cousins that I have not seen in quite awhile, Zack and Jessica we super sweet and had really vivid imaginations. We made a few purchases which includes a little stool which we are going to paint and put John's hand and foot prints on, I go some super cute yellowbox flipflops, and John got the cutest little shoes. Then it was off to have dinner at Robert and Alicia's apartment. It was such a blessing to have sometime to spent with them again, they are the greatest couple ever. Robert made bratwursts, mac and cheese, and Alicia got a yellow watermelon (yummy!). For dessert we had left over creme puffs and cheese cake bites from the wedding. For our evening entertainment we played the Wii.
On Monday, it was time to make our way back to Dallas for some more shopping. First we stopped at an outlet mall where we bought John his first pair of Nike shoes (they are so cute), some OshKosh Jeans, and Andrew got some new clothes too.
Next stop was IKEA!!! Which was packed full of people but it was still an enjoyable shopping trip.
John was having fun riding around looking at everything with an added bonus of wearing Daddy's hat!
Then John had some fun playing in the stuffed animals until he was getting attacked by Uncle Robert and the alligator. It was so sweet :)
We were almost done when John just sacked out and took a good nap in the cart.
I love being a mommy especially with moments like these and every other moment too!!! He is just the sweetest.
After we made our purchases it was time to make the drive back to Weatherford, little did we know our adventure was not over yet. First there was a down pour of rain with 2 beautiful rainbow after.
Second came the wonderful blowout of one of the tires, then the drive back to Ardmore to get two new tires for my car...which equated to a 2 hour walk around Wal-mart before it was done.
We arrived home close to 11pm but I am happy we all made it home safely even with our little detour. God was really watching over us!!
Now we are back to school preparing for tests, writing papers, and Andrew is almost done with his block classes then he will be in the classroom, which he is super excited about!
