Welcome Spring!!

Yesterday was the first severe storm of 2010!! So of course the family went out for a drive to look at the awesome storm clouds and talk about how lucky we are to live in rural Oklahoma so we can enjoy watching the storms roll in on a hill of a back road.
The picture above was taken as we left our house and shortly after the tornado hit a town west of Weatherford in the town of Hammon. Luckily God protected that whole town and no one was hurt just a few house and their community barn were destroyed, they sounded the sirens early enough everyone had time to get to safety!
While we were out watching the clouds on the back road, we had the chance to listen to the wonderful windmills that surround the town. There were some clouds in the distance that were lowering quite a bit but they were nothing!
In between the third and fourth windmill you can see the lowering.
John enjoying another ride in his big boy car seat! He loved watching the windmills and just looking out the window. Car rides are so much fun now, we talk about everything we see out the window and I just love being able to see him face to face not in a mirror.
The 2010 Storm Season has begun and the beautiful sunsets are back too!
